Russia introduces new Skilled-Worker Visa Route beginning April 2026
Russia has announced a new visa program for skilled foreign professionals successful applicants may receive a three-year temporary residency or, for certain categories, a permanent residency.
E-visas to Russia now valid for 120 days; stay allowed up to 30 days (from Aug 2025)
As of August 2025, Russia updated its unified e-visa rules: the visa validity period was extended to 120 days and holders can stay up to 30 days easing entry for tourists and short-stay travelers.
Starting December 2025, a decree allows many categories of Chinese citizens tourists, businesspeople, students, artists, etc. To enter Russia visa-free for up to 30 days. The waiver is valid until at least September 2026, boosting bilateral travel and exchanges
